Safe and affordable housing is essential to building healthy families and communities. ATCAA's Housing Program plays a leading role in advocating for, developing, and managing affordable housing for low- and moderate-income families and individuals in our region.
ATCAA offers a variety of assistance and services to the community. Services include securing and stabilizing housing for homeless families and individuals as well as those at risk of becoming homeless. Programs, projects, and funding streams are in a constant state of change, so it is best to contact our department by phone, so that we may assess the individual situation and provide help based on need and circumstances.
When funding is available, we offer emergency:
Homeless Prevention Rental Assistance;
Homeless Rapid Re-Housing Assistance. We provide emergency shelter for individuals and families in Amador and Tuolumne counties. The mission of the Lodi House program is to provide compassionate support, counseling and shelter to homeless women and children to empower them to live courageous, healthy, and independent lives. Our unique program assists single mothers with finding employment, developing a monthly budget and savings plan, and working towards finding affordable housing.
Lodi House offers a structured home environment that focuses on building healthy relationships, providing parenting tools, goal setting, accountability, and connection to community resources. Lodi House is not an emergency shelter. Applications for the program will be reviewed by the Program Director and an in-person interview is required. The women’s overnight shelter program provides 75 beds for emergency shelter to women & children. Guests are provided with a safe place to sleep overnight as well as showers, meals, and chapel services during their stay, and case management services are provided to women who consistently come to the Mission for overnight shelter.

MEDICAL CLINIC
The Modesto Gospel Mission provides a free medical clinic for the uninsured another avenue of hope and healing for the poor and homeless of Stanislaus County. Our free medical clinic is open Tuesday and Thursday evenings and is staffed completely by volunteer medical professionals.
The clinic provides uninsured patients with non-threatening medical conditions access to basic medical care resources as well as additional referrals to other agencies. Programs & Activities

Emergency Shelter
The We Care Program (WCP) provides shelter services for 49 homeless men a night. These individuals fall at or below 80% of the area median income and are ineligible for assistance from any other social service agency. We provide a warm, safe environment for individuals who would otherwise be sleeping on the street.
Permanent Supportive Housing
This program is for individuals who are chronically homeless. We provide long-term affordable housing, case management, and support to our clients. Our objective is for participants to remain housed, improve health and lead a more stable life.
