The Housing Authority of the County of San Joaquin (HACSJ) has provided and advocated or safe, affordable, and attractive living environments for low income working families, elderly, and disabled residents of San Joaquin County.

We are governed by a seven-member Board of Commissioners and have a dynamic workforce of 76 employees. This diverse and dedicated team blends innovation with decades of experience resulting in successful programs that continue to build a brighter future.

HACSJ oversees a $50+ million-dollar budget, resulting in significant economic benefit to our local economy. Through a variety of federal, state and local affordable housing programs, as well as partnerships with other agencies and businesses, we are currently sheltering and assisting approximately 19,000 people in San Joaquin County.

The Healthy Food Pantry

We provide a 3-day supply of healthy food to low-income residents of Stanislaus County. Eligible clients may receive services once per month.

Clients will be asked to provide photo ID, proof of address, and proof of income, however no one will be turned away if they are unable to produce documentation on their first visit Free Mobile Farmers Market

Clients are invited to Shop the FMFM for fresh produce in their own neighborhoods. 10-11 AM

Clients will be asked to self-identify as low-income. ID not required. Homebound Delivery

Homebound, ambulatory seniors or otherwise disabled individuals may be eligible to receive a 5-day supply of food staples delivered to their homes each month. Call Naomi at (209)572-3117 or email programs@interfaithmodesto.org for an application.

First through Fourth Wednesday / Clients must submit an application

Churches, congregations, schools, or organizations with a tax-exempt status may be eligible to receive food to share with their clients. Contact operations@interfaithmodesto.org for application and info.

Our partners from College Avenue Congregational Church open the doors to both the Healthy Food Pantry and Clothes Closet on the last Saturday of January-October.

Description:
San Joaquin Fair Housing Inc. has been in existence for over three decades. Incorporated in 1983 as a nonprofit to fulfill the Federal Government’s Department of Housing and Urban Development’s (HUD) requirements under CDBG funding to further Fair Housing in the community. We strive to provide education, mediation, housing assistance, complaint investigation, and resolution. We do this by working alongside property managers, property owners, City and County Code Enforcement, Public Health, Human Services Agency, and Housing Authority of San Joaquin. The Program has evolved to include education and testing in Fair Housing practices to fulfill the national and local CDBG objectives to affirmatively further Fair Housing within our community.
