But what exactly is a memory care facility? Memory care communities are residentail spaces that cater to the specific needs of seniros with memory loss. Key servies and features that make memory care facilities different from other types of senior care include 24-hour care, specialized staff, memory-enchancing therapies, a secure environment and more. Nursing Homes, Somtimes called skilled nursing facilites, provdie nursing care and long-term housing for seniors. Elderly adults whp need long-term care at a nursing home facility often have significant physical or mental health conditions that require 24-hour nursing and personal care. These facilites offer the highest level of care for seniors who need medical care, but don't require hospitalization. NUrsing homes also provide short-term, rehabilitative care after a hospital discharge. Rehabilitation programs at nursing home facilities helpp seniors recovering from an illness or accident regain mobility, Strength and function until they can return to normal activites. Independent Living offers a carefree lifestyle for older adutls who want to enjoy retirement with ease. Seniro independent living facilites providea variety of convenient services and amenities, including prepared meals, transportation social activities and housekeeping. Unlike assisted living , independent seniros living doesn't provide help with personal care like bathing or toileting in fact seniors at independent living facilities are generally active, healthy and able to live on their own but may desire convenience and more social opportunites. Senior Apartment communities are tailored to the needs of active adults over age 55. Senior 55p lus communites ofeten feature amenities such as golf swimming pools, tennis courts, and fitness centers to attract the older adults who want a low maintenance lifestyle. Most community fees inclsude utilities , landscaping services home maintenance services and security. Senior apartments do not offer the type of personal care services that assisted living communites and memory care facilities provide Residential care homes offer a smaller, more home-like family setting for seniors. Care homes offer food services and assistance with daily living but do not typically have a medical professional on-site. Limited , part-time medical care is offered, but it's not a primary focue of this type of senior living community. Care home residences are typically located in traditional homes and neighborhoods and provide care for fewer patients than assisted living communities. It us uncommon for a care home to offer services for more than 10 seniors; which helps create the more personal, home-style living environment. Home Care is a service that provides senior care within an individual;s residence. Care at home best serves seniors who want to age in place, but who may desire companionship or rewuire support with daily chores and activities of daily living such as dressing and bathing. The services that an at-home caregiver provides will depend on a senior's individualized needs. While some seniors may rely on home care providers for help with errands, cooking, and housekeeping others need intensice care in ther home to manage incontinence, mobility issues, or dementia. In-home care may increase peace of mind for family members, enhance senior safety, and result in a deeper, one-on-one bond between a senior and their caregiver.

Weekly Emergency Supplemental Food

Each Wednesday* from 9:30 to 11:00 am the C.A.R.E. program is open for the residents of the Escalon Unified School District who need food and whose income meets Federal guidelines. A bag of food is provided free, one for each household. Currently we are providing for about 110-120 households a week. Senior Brown Bag

The Second Tuesday after the First Monday from 8:00 to 11:00 am seniors over 60 years of age can get a bag of food. The second disbursement is two weeks following. The cost is $12.00 yearly paid in November (pro-rated in following months). This was designed for people on a fixed income and has specific income requirements. As with all three food programs we do not arrange or administer any organized volunteer delivery program. Some people rely on friends to help deliver their food to them.

Eligiable households must be able to show that thier loss of income , inablility to pay rent or homelessness is a direct result of the pandemic. Homelessness Prevention If you are at imminent risk of homelessness, we may be able to provide rent support to prevent you from becoming homeless. Eligible households must be residents of San Joaquin county make less than 30% of Area Median income and be able to document they are imminent risk of homelessness Rapid Re-Housing If you are a family with minor children living in a homeless shelter , in your car, or in another place not meant for human haitation we may be able to provide rent and deposit support to help you enter permanent housing . We also may be able to provide extremely short-term rent and deposit support if you are a householde without children. Eligible households must be residents of San Joaquin County and homeless to qualify as well as other program eligibility requirements.

The mission of the Emergency Food Bank is to build a stronger community by providing a safety net of healthy food, nutrition education, and hope to residents of San Joaquin County who find themselves in need. The mission of the Lodi House program is to provide compassionate support, counseling and shelter to homeless women and children to empower them to live courageous, healthy and independent lives. Our unique program assists single mothers with finding employment, developing a monthly budget and savings plan, and working towards finding affordable housing.

Lodi House offers a structured home environment that focuses on building healthy relationships, providing parenting tools, goal setting, accountability and connection to community resources. Lodi House is not an emergency shelter. Applications for the program will be reviewed by the Program Director and an in-person interview is required. Our mission is to empower families to self-sufficiency. We hope McHenry House Tracy Family Shelter is the last shelter of temporary housing program that the families we serve will need. McHenry House Tracy Family Shelter is a 501(c)(3) corporation recognized by the Internal Revenue Service and qualified to grant receipts for tax-deductible donations. McHenry House is governed by a board of directors and is audited annually. Donations of clothing, shoes and small household items are accepted at the McHenry House office, located at 739 A Street, between 10am - 2pm, Tuesdays and Thursdays. Through our program, we offer a broad mix of activities, special events, resources and targeted services that are available days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
